The Kurdish Human Rights assocciation is a non-profit organisation with
the ambition and
vision to watch and throw light on the situation of the Kurdish
people, and their ambitions for peace, cultural and social rights,
integration and solidarity. In its ambition to reach these goals, the
association undertakes to promote human rights, investigate and
inform about abuses of:
* Physical and psychological violence
* Discrimination in all forms
* Abuses against the freedom of speech, freedom of opinion, freedom of
assembly and the freedom of press.
The association wants to establish and maintan contacts, and
cooperate with or organisations like the United Nations, Save the
Children, Red
Cross, Red Crescent, the Human Rights Watch, Amnesty, Swedish
authourities, members of parliament, associations in Sweden and
Europe and individuals who supports the aim of the assocation.
Membership
The association is dependent on volunteers, that is the groups and
indiviuals active commitments and participation in the work.
The association is open for persons who wants to participate and pay
a yearly fee. The amount is determined by the annual meeting. The
yearly fee is 150 SKR.
A member that represent herself/himself without the knowledge of the board,
can be excluded from the organisation. Before a member is excluded,
she or he, will be given a warning. The board has the right under special
circumstances
(like when a member is working against the aims of the
association) to exclude the member. A member that has been excluded
has the right to appeal against the exclusion, on the nextcoming yearly
meeting. The excluded member will give an account of the reasons of
the exclusions and a chance to get her/his case tried.
Organisation
The community center is ruled by 1. a yearly meeting 2.extra
membership meetings 3. working groups 4. coordination and special
groups.
The notice should be sent out 30 days prior to the yearly meeting.
Each member has the right to contribute with a motion to the yearly
meeting. The motions should be handed to the board in writing
at least 14 days prior to the meeting.
Annual Meeting
The board of directors is responsible for the annual meeting and the
membership meeting.
The board of directors carry out the decisions made in the yearly
meeting and the membership meeting and they also choose members to
the different committiees and organise activities within the aims of the
community.
The associations paramaount body is the annual meeting.
The community center announces 2 members that are responsible for the
signing of the community centers signatures.
Each member has the right to be present at the yearly meeting and the
extra yearly meeting.
The above mentioned point does only apply if the member is not
excluded from the community center.
Extra annual meeting
An extra annual meeting is called togheter when a majority in the
board or members requests it. The board is responsible to organise an
extra anuual meeting.
The board
The board consists of: chairwoman/chairman, 2 cashiers, five regular
members, and 2 substitues. The chairwomen/chairman is elected at the
annual meeting för a fixed period, like the rest of the regular
boardmembers. The board is convened at a time and place themselves
decides or when and where the chairwomen/chairman decides it. The
board appoints a vice-chairwomen/charmain och divide the tasks and
has the right to appoint committees among themselves. The vice-
chairwoman/chairman has the power of attorney when the regular
chairwoman/chairman is absent.

The dissolution of the association
The Kurdish Human Rights association willl be dissolved if on the annual
meeting or on the extra annual meeting decides to dissolve the association
with a 2/3 majority. Decisions within the associataion
is taken by a simple majority. Changes in the constitution and aims of the
association needs a precence of at least 50% of the members at the annual
meeting. In order to have the right to vote at the annual meeting one has
to have paid the member fee for the current year.The work of the
association is mainly conducted independently by working teams and
individials within the limits of this constitution.In support for the
activities the board can appoint coordination- and specialized groups. Any
proposal of the dissolution of the party will be treated on the annual
meeting if the proposal is sent to all members.
